Reading Golf Club

A dozen volunteers returned to Reading Golf Club on 12th December to continue laying the hedge alongside the bridleway. Two groups each tackled a new section while a third group trimmed back a year-old section which had thickened up nicely from when it was laid.
Material cut out of the overgrown hedge was used to make posts to hold in the laid branches and binders to neaten the top. The posts were then sawn to a uniform height.
Two lucky volunteers got a ride back to the car park with the tools on a golf buggy!
