Joyce Grove

The Sue Ryder Home at Joyce Grove, the former Fleming family home in Nettlebed, has magnificent grounds looked after by a single gardener. SCGG helps out with a work session there once a quarter. Tasks include removing brambles from the ha-ha, clearing and cutting back the neglected topiary garden ready for new topiary, hauling away cut-up branches from storm-felled trees and major pruning around the secret garden. The grounds contain many interesting specimens of rare trees and shrubs.
