Withymead Nature Reserve

The sun shone down with appreciation on the efforts on the volunteers. 19 Sonning Common Green Gymmers joined other forces and there were close to 50 people on site doing all sorts of work. Two fences were being put in, a pond dug out, nettles slashed and pulled, green houses cleaned and last but not dug a cable to the position of a future nest box, for spying on birds. The pond will be visible from a dam so children can look on the water level. The tea break was enriched with cake and macaroon, prepared by Diane.
